Checking in!

It has been such a fun weekend! Fun weekends also happen to be the most exhausting. We celebrated Hezi's first birthday and took group family photos. Holy beep. That was interesting! Annddd I got to spend some time out in San Tan, so you know I was loving that.

This party was my first time using Etsy for buying paper products and while I was totes in LOVE with the decorations(and the shop we used was awesome), the process was annoying and I don't think I'll be doing that again. I'll stick to online(not Etsy) shops or good ol Party City.

More to come on the party and a taste of our family photos soon!

How was your weekend?!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday night everyone! Another week down! A long one for me, leaving me with lots of decisions to make. Decision making just plain sucks sometimes. I'm a natural born leader and do-er, but every once in a while, I just do not want to make all the decisions. Anyway, here's my favorite things from this week! :)

1. Fashion Star. Which I just got caught up and I am completely bummed that Sarah Tucker went home. Loved that girl and her designs. I think I'm actually just upset that I still have to put up with Nicki for another week. I'm tired of her personality, accent, and designs. Oh well, not my show!

2. Symphony my niece whom I love, but up until today I wasn't so sure if she was very fond of me. She's 9 months old and finally the kid has personality! Now if I could just get her to say auntie. Notice she's startin' to get the Beiber hair going on.
What. A. Cutie.

3. Starbucks. Mmm...

4. Aviator Sun glasses. My favorite pair is about to break which will make me very sad. They were only $7 bucks at Forever 21 so I will most definitely invest in another pair!

5. My blog!!!! I love it and I hope you love it. I will love it a lot more though after it is professionally designed. Yay!

What were some of your favorites this week?
Or was there anything that made this week easier and more tolerable?

Have a fun (safe) weekend!

Hello?!?!

Oh my goodness. My phone broke this weekend. Now,everyone that knows me, you can only imagine what was running through my head. I literally felt like a crazy person. I don't know if it was because I actually needed my phone, because I can't go more than 3 hours without my phone, or because (and I am just realizing this) I'm obsessed with my phone.
Yeah, I have a pretty fancy phone. I mean it's a smart phone, I have unlimited everything, including data, and it runs of the Android system. So essentially everything I need is sorta at my finger tips. And I love that for it's convenience. I do NOT love how I felt this weekend when the phone broke.
I couldn't sleep the night it broke, all i thought about was how early can I get to Verizon to get it fixed or get a new one. Guess what? 10 am was not soon enough for me. I was on the phone with customer support until 1am trying to get it fixed or get me a new one activated. They offered me an upgrade. I was all for it until they told me it would have to be shipped and that could take until the middle of the week. NOT UH! Lyndsy can't wait that long.Saturday I spent the entire day talking to my aunt and uncle (the owners on our business plan with VZW) and they said go for it go down to Verizon and do what you have to do. After MANY hours at the VZW store the lady said I would just have to wait until Monday. I could have cried.

That's what I don't like. I hate that I am so dependent on something that can be easily broken and not replaced. What would it look like if I was as obsessed with my spiritual life and my Maker, as I am with my phone? I'd probably be walking on cloud 9 all the time. This was a real eye opener for me. The only reason I am so obsessed with it is because I constantly need something to do. So why not take all that spare time and put a dent into reading the bible? Or keep using my prayer journal? Or find something; anything else to do? This is something I am definitely going to work on.
Other than that all I have to say is... What... a catastrophe!

Weekend. Ending,

I seriously have to wake up in 5 hours to get ready and drive out to work and then work a 15 hour day...but... I had to blog and I am honestly not that tired. I just got done doing like 200 crunches and did a sink full of dishes, if that tells you how not tired I am.
It has been such a fun, relaxing, non stressful weekend. Spent the entire day on Saturday with the "K" kids and that was really fun. Went to the park, had yummy mac n' cheese for lunch, played Elefun, and watched Horton Hears a Who. Perfect day spent with two kids who are just adorbz. I also skyped with Sandra and Stephan from Germany on Saturday and basically all weekend when I'm not doing anything I have been practicing my German! :) Wie geht es dir? You say... Gut, danke! :)

You can google translate that yourself to figure it out.

Then today I woke up, visited an old church, visited the Chitwood's, and then back the Whitcombs for family dinner. We kinda bailed on dinner went up the the loft, watched Kardashians, and painted our nails. The gold color on my nails is awesome. I LOVE it. So sparkly! I also got a lot of planning for my sisters baby shower done. Oh and I almost finished another book. So yeah, I would say it was a pretty productive weekend.
This week is going to be jam packed. Except for my day off Wednesday, but even then I have plans. Bring it on World! I have 6 months left in the States and it is going to be a VERY busy 6 months. I see lots of coffee and less sleep in my near future. Awesome.
Night,

Friday Favorites

1. Not Vacation.

2. The Yankees. Although last night I was completely devastated by their loss and end of the season, I still love 'em!

3. Hot tubs. You meet the coolest people when you go to a hot tub. #factsoflife

4. Tahiti Joe's. This restaurant we've been eating at in Vegas. You wouldn't think a place called Tahiti Joe's would have good spaghetti but, Oh. My. Gahhhssshh is it good!

5. HGTV which I have been glued to the last few nights.

6. My God daughter Symphony who is three months old already!

7. My brown Flojos. Almost better than Rainbows flip flops. Awesome flip flops.

8. Dolphin Tale. I would definitely see that one again. Such a good "Do Something" movie.

9. My phone, whom I could not live without.

10. The rain.

Cheers to the Frickin weekend! Be safe my lovelies! =)
