Sedona

I enjoyed vacation, but I'm glad it's over. I don't know about you, but I have a week limit for vacationing. After that I start thinking how "terrible" my real life is. How I need everything to change and so on and so on.

Sedona was just as beautiful this year as it was the past 14. Yep! My family has been vacationing in the same city and same resort for 14 years. Two hours out of Phoenix is the perfect getaway for all of us. We walked through downtown Sedona, snacked on goods from the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Company, visited the Horr family Fudge Shop, and did lots of swimming at the resort. The food junkie that I am can definitely say I ate tons of good stuff while I was up there. That is by far my favorite part of vacation.

Here are some random pictures from the trip! Enjoy!

What's up? Not much, just picking my nose!

Munster - St. Lamberti's, Prinzipalmarkt, Picasso Museum

Saturday morning I embarked on an adventure to the old university city of, Munster. It's about an hour's trip from Borken to Munster by bus. I got to the station at 9am Saturday morning and expected to be leaving at 9:30. This girl read the time tables wrong... I sat there until 10:30. Womp womp.
At any rate, by 11:30 I had made it to my destination and was ready for a day of adventure.
I got it all right.

It was aboslutely beautiful and I think I may have left a piece of my heart in Munster.
There were artists everywhere I turned, troubadours, and fresh food and flowers from the street market.
The smells and sounds just captured me and that's when I remembered why I really wanted to come here.
Travel.
Who says you have to go far to travel?

This guy was awesome.

A couple that were painting on the streets painted the guy above and a woman running.
God made some very talented people.

In my first 20 minutes in the city I loved it all,
but then I walked into St. Lamberti's and that is when I fell in love.
 See why below.

I loved all the details and design.

Everyone in that place was Oohing and ahhing, as well as myself.

After this I headed to the market and got a little snack and bought some postcards from a local artist.
Then I set out to find the Picasso Museum, but some how ended up in H&M in the shoe and accessory section. My wallet always finds away into the stores. Funny how that happens.
I got a new pair of shoes(of course) and few more shirts. It was needed.
I certainly did not pack enough for a year in Europe.

I had lunch at Italian place called Scoozi where I enjoyed some pizza margahrita(shocker) and a glass of Prosecco(when in Germany, do as the Germans do). Then, for reals, I set out for the Picasso Museum.

PS I have no idea what this says besides Picasso.

The whole time I was there I felt like I was going to get in a whole lot of German trouble any minute for taking pictures inside there. So I didn't take many. I also told a little white lie to save $2 (said that I was a student for the discount, which I am not) I immediately felt bad, but bought a postcard on the way out so they still go the two bucks euros. I'm a terrible liar.

The rest of day I spent walking in circles(for over three hours) trying to find the bus/train station. My attitude of oh I love this place, quickly turned into where's a damn taxi when you need it! Eventually I found the station, but I missed my bus by two hours. I was told to take a train to Coesfeld and then a bus to Borken.
Take a nice air conditioned train? No prob!

While on the train I was just thinking, I know a lot of my friends and family who will probably never get the chance to "miss their buss in Europe" or "take the train in Germany" and I couldn't help, but to still feel lucky.
I thanked God for my exciting day and I thanked Him for me getting hopelessly lost and giving me eyes to still see the beauty in that.

Munster was good to me on Saturday. It was exactly what I needed.
